Damian Francis Wagner latest sculpture

Damian Francis Wagner is a painter, sculptor and experimental sound artist living and working in Venice, California. Born in Minneapolis, Minnesota Damian studied architecture at the University of Minnesota but learned much more of the craft from his father, an accomplished painter and crafstman in his own right. He was chosen as the first artist to show at Dola, a Venice sculpture park dedicated to the arts. In addition to his own work, Damian has created the sound for several museum pieces by video artist Doug Aitken. These include the works “Sleepwalker” as well as “Interiors”, which are now in permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art, NYC. Damian continues to weave his passion for painting, sculpture and experimental sound into a continued exploration of our culture and collective capabilities. His aim is to create environments that challenge our interpretation of color, sound and texture as well as inspire our imagination and deepen our senses.
